The ant is actually a reference to the inspiration being the spore fungus in the games. There is a fungus that grows on an ant's brain and takes control of it like a puppet. And turns it into a zombie like the clickers.

Number 9, the Wind Waker one, has been known since the game came out. At least one of the guides released along side the game even mentions it. I even remember doing it not long after the game came out on a second play through then later telling a friend about it as he approached that boss.

The first big one I remember was the Naboo fighter in Rogue Squadron on N64, but maybe that doesn't count as an Easter egg since the devs mentioned it's existence when no one found it before SW Ep 1 was released.

I love when devs leave messages to their families in the games. Its a show of pride in their work, and it really only gets found by people who obviously appreciate the franchise

One Easter egg that I really love is the 'Lord of the Pies' In Dragon Age Inquisition. It's underneath the castle floor the entire time and its inaccessible to the average player. The only way to access it is to go into Solas's room whilst the map is still loading in. If you time it right, the floor in Solas' room will be invisible and you're able to fall through and you'll land on the floor underneath, where you will see a giant Pie with a top hat on and big googly eyes. If you get too close to it, it will disappear, but it will play a music box melody for about 10 minutes. Apparently there are more pies scattered around the world, but The Lord Of The Pie is the only one that has been found and the game came out 8 years ago

Man I found the one in spiderman in like 2006 when I was 10. Just wasn't posting it on the internet and didn't know it wasn't known. That was one of my favorite games on the ps1.
