Geranium cuttings tend to root easily and well. I find this a very cost-effective plant. As long as I buy quality plants from the florist I trust, things almost always work out. I live in an apartment in Paris, France and windowbox plants are much appreciated. Firmly clamped down, they really do make life prettier, and some chase away mosquitoes.

I love growing geraniums. The gorgeous scent😍
I've a seven year old indoor after first year thats leggy, I cut the new growth and tucked it into the soil to fill in and refresh.
I'm so glad I found your channel so I know how to do this the right way.
Anyroad, a few weeks ago I collected 15 seeds, to my amazement 8 popped up and in only about 4 weeks under a cheap grow light. Then, I discovered my original "mama" plant has put up a new plant as well. I'll be up to my knees in geraniums and tickled pink very soon. Lol!

Thank you for this video. I understand that showing us the blooming plant is so that we all recognize it as the plant we know and love. I still have one flower blooming, even though we’ve had a frost, so I think I still have time.

And then what? Where do you keep the pot, outside or inside? Do you water it? Do you cover it? What do you do next with the pot?

at last, a video that shows whats happening, far too many focus on the person - this gets right in so I can SEE what you're cutting - cheers for this x

couldn't you have waited until the blooms had gone? it seems vicious and surely too early if they are still in full bloom

Where is the best place to put them away? What should the temperature of the area be? Could I put them outside in my shed during cold winter months?

Thank you, I have grown loads of cuttings for my new greenhouse and some amazing “mother” plants, which I am desperate to keep. Have cut them back...but not enough and have been removing the leaves....secateurs at the ready tomorrow xxxx

Couldn't you wait a bit longer until the plant starts to die off by itself? Also, could you use the cuttings to produce a new plant?

I live in Florida. it is the middle of May and my geranium has a lot of flowers but not many leaves. Should I cut it back now or wait until the fall.

I live in Mexico. No cold winters. When is best time to trim back my geraniums? I have some in pots but several huge plants in the ground.

I bring mine inside as i live in a frigid climate in winter. Should I continue watering a little over the winter after pruning?

I do not live in a cold environment. So is there a particular time of the year that I should do the pruning?
