EP182 how to cut back geranium plants for the winter

I have done this with mine in October, they are in my conservatory and doing really well, lots of new greens have popped up. My question is when spring comes can I just re plant as they are or do I cut the green bits growing now and plant in smaller pots then re plant in spring?
