"Prices aren't all that bad." $800 for JUST a motherboard isn't bad?!?! You can build an entire really decent PC for that.

Re: Latency fix - AMD stated that the issue was mostly a reporting problem, not a latency problem. Minimal gains to be had as benchmarks show.

I can't trust battery life tests because of a few factors. 1) Do the laptops involved in the comparison have the same battery capacity and screen? 2) How well does the laptop perform at the lowest power level?

There is alot that needs to be done to properly compare battery life.

All the tens of people that bought ryzen 9000 are gonna be pumped about this update

The bug for latency was just incorrect reporting, it wasn't really slower

CINEBENCH isn’t latency dependent.
The way it works is each core in the CPU works on a different part of the problem.
You need the Core to have an inherent need to communicate with one another for latency to be an issue.

Companies are treating their official launches as free beta tests now, they launch half-baked stuff and have the buyers work as free beta testers...

RTX5090 has 3 weeks lifespan thanks to beautiful aesthetics (only 1 power connector so that your rig wont be ugly) then it will catch on fire and you need to buy a new 5090. if you are a millionaire and can afford a 5090 every 3 weeks its a good idea to buy a 5090 else you need to buy a 7900XTX, W7900, A6000 or B6000.

Someone did a test and the new AMD chip actually uses only a watt or 2 more than the Qualcomm chip. But they are shipping OLED devices that eat up the extra power.

That's bullshit. They aren't discontinuing the 4090 so fast. Never done this never will

ARM is RISC, x86 *used* to be full bore CISC. Now, x86 is essentially using a translation layer to run on a RISC chip. The performance advantage of ARM is tied to the instruction set. That video touting Intel battery life is disengenuous. That's going to be all about the size of the battery. "Yay, look how long you can watch a video! Oh, that? Ignore the larger battery!"

I wouldn't be surprised if AMD "fixed" Ryzen 9000 since the launch did appear a bit rushed (coupled with potential Windows scheduler issues).
Of course the matter was over emphasised but clickbait these days are par for the course.

I’m so glad I get to sit back and watch you guys pay 2500 for a 5090

Don't buy a 4000 series "JUST BECAUSE" they're not going to manufacture it anymore. Save your money.

@techyescity, did you do these tests with the latest agesa update that lowered the inter ccd latency?

amd has gone mad. first the ryzen 9000 series underperforms and disappoints. now the board prices are up to the moon. 9000 series wasn't selling as is, now this is gonna further plummet down amd's sales.
