This is absolutely the correct way to manage almost any sales process. As a logistic broker who has managed milllions of dollars in United States produce, this is 100% the way. Relationship first, always. Meetings win deals, and helps you focus on the deals that will close.

Gotta stop the yellow flashing subtitles.

Winning government contracts is a relationship game. It’s all who you know. Remember the people who award these contracts to companies are not robots.

I've done an RFP for a non-clearance contract and it's a pain and they always chose the lowest bidder for labor expenses, but yeah you make a strong point at 12:33. The people I was working with clearly followed the "start at solicitation" advice and I ended up doing a lot of work for nothing.

Love the patch board. Mine is on the ceiling of my truck. I copied the buses that’d pick our crews up at the jet. Squadron stickers all over the ceilings. Love it! Thank you for your service.

I’ve been at it for 4 years and the last first 8 minutes of your video blew my mind. I appreciate it greatly.

I won my first contract within 30 days of bidding on a solicitation. 20k profit. But to each their own. 12+ months to win a contract is insane 😂😂😂

Great information, but what's the deal with the potential seizure causing forced closed captioning? Keep the good info coming, but please get rid of the forced closed captioning 👍🏾

Thx so much. I been watching so many vids that have me filtering by solic, source, combo, etc. And there were so many to read. This scaled to just two which is manageable. Will be checking out more of your vids and my head is filled wit more expensive options when $ are low.

12-18 months is insane!!!! $400k contract with 20% profit thats less than $60k a year, that is a horrible deal. I understand if you chase a $2-$3 million contract for 12-18mmonths while the other small ones are coming but your process is crazy long. All the steps make sense but the timeline is just not worth it. I am speaking as a contractor and I go through very similar thing most projects happen in 3-4 months some I wait 6-9 months but I constantly have smaller projects that keep me a float, also people its a horrible job and a position to be in. One year is great next year is so, so and then next two are horrible. That how it has been for me past 14 years in NYC.

Thank you for your video.
Seems like great advice to get in front of the right people and follow the contracting process from the very beginning.

This is very insightful. There's a lot of work that needs to be done.

It all makes sense now. I have not engaged with the sources sought. I was only successful with one rfp in everything I’ve bid for the government and all the other contracts have been awarded to a company not from here that has a developed relationship with the government

love this, just prefer to use the CC button the videos and not have a karaoke view of the words flashing all over...

Tip for creator... you are putting way too much effort into this video if you are going to have giant distracting captions. Lyric music videos dont have things to actually pay attention in the background for a reason because people are not going to pay attention to whats going on in the background. Your flashing captions distract from the content of your video.
