After 12 years in a 300 rwkw xr6 turbo, I finally got a VF SSV. This channel will be of great help with my first :-)

That sounded like an absolute beast!
Even on idle, Speechless.

I spent less than $400 on a second hand 3” pipe and headers on my LS1 Stato.
$1500 on the OTR and tune.
$150 on second hand HSV Bilstine shocks with springs.

Honestly the best video I have found for me personally with my VF Commodore SS, definitely going to invest in slapping these into the car

Best and first mod for a manual should be a short throw shifter. Being one of the most high use items in the car, making shifting a manual better should be number 1 on the list. Then after that, intake, exhaust and tune. But each to their own.

I love your list, couldn’t agree more with the intake and headers, they are the biggest let down on performance of the commodore. I also think a diff ratio upgrade is also a good budget upgrade as well as helical centre is a good idea if the budget can stretch

Thanks for the video

Im my case having a charged GTS the costs can explode. With the cam going in next month and chiller thats another 6 grand, then need to start thinking about fuel pumps . Anything over 700hp in a GTS needs a upgraded fuel pump .. They are around 4 grand .

Also thinking of going the 2650 LSA blower, thats another 7 grand

Thankfully im single haha!

Hi Clunie. Thankyou for sharing these videos and your knowledge! I have learnt stacks from watching. This is a bit of a journey for me. I am learning about cars (internal workings) and would like to buy a manual VE II V8 Ute (eventually). I need to learn how to drive a manual first so will start with a learner.. then get a little mazda 3 SP23 😅 its been good to see what mods to get and what not to - Im in my early 30s .. not interested in attracting the johnny hoppers! Hope youre well and looking forward to more content! Jack

Ff to now, gizzy gone, v8 supercars in turmoil.
Thanks for the mods.
I have a 2006 L98 with only 100 thou on clock .
Has 3" xforce full stainless system bolted to pacemaker headers, can remove rear quad tips and fit dump pipes when I'm feeling racy.
King spring suspension feels perfect
I'm 69 and still lovin it.
My SS is for sunday drives not daily drive.
Will do the intake next.
Thanks again, subbd.

Well nice sound on the ute. Makes me realise why the open throttle freaks me out. I stood next to my L98 aka G8, with cold air intake and cat back exforce exhaust long neck headers and vcm cam and tuned at 350 klw at rear wheels. I luv it, puts a smile on my face. Thanks for video.

New and still learning about cars as I've recently found a big interest in them. Does this guide apply to a VE SV6 aswell as the v8. Particularly for someone beginning a project and looking to slap a supercharger under the hood as the end goal

Hi F&F - well Kermit the bright green L98 / 2009 /SS manual Ute rolled up today. Seen a little track time in factory finish (but is lowered.) Only 114 K km, seems tight and well loved by the last mechanic owner ( thanks Mick). Planning the usual mods - OTR, Exhaust, tune and then a mild cam down the road a bit. Thanks for all your very motivational vids guys, much appreciated....
