I’ve done longer videos and shorts covering each of these individually, but below are brief explanations for why I don’t buy each item anymore.

Green juice with fruit ~ if I have green juice, I opt for one *without* fruit to keep the sugar low.

Agave nectar ~ this tends to have even higher levels of fructose than HFCS.

Sweetened coffees ~ very high glycemic.

Melatonin ~ I prefer to naturally boost my melatonin production with magnesium, "dark" exposure and evening walks.

Probiotics ~ I naturally get probiotics from fermented foods like sauerkraut and greek yogurt.

Wellness Shots ~ these can be quite useful, but I prefer to make it myself so that I have full control over the potency of each ingredient.

Cereal ~ highly processed and very high glycemic load.

Grapeseed Oil ~ possible hexanes left behind and high in omega 6 fats.

Fruit Juice ~ high in sugar and in fructose (too much fructose in the diet has been found to lead to fatty liver disease).

Trail Mix with dried fruit ~ also surprisingly high in sugar and combines fat with sugar, making it easy to eat more than the body needs.

Reminder that there are absolutely no requirements or qualifications for someone to call themselves a "nutritionist".

I don't buy any of that stuff either. I buy cheeseburgers hamburgers baby back ribs pizza popcorn Hot Cheetos stuffed shells lasagna steak

I actually don't buy food anymore cause I have no money so it's an easy decision for me 😂

I studied nutrition in undergrad so I guess I can call myself a nutritionist too, and I eat many of these. I still have perfect bloodwork. It’s all about moderation. If you don’t want to eat certain foods because you’re trying to avoid particular ingredients, that’s fine, I do it too sometimes. However, to label them all as I’M NEVER, EVER BUYING/EATING THEM AGAIN, to me is silly.

If I eliminated all of the foods that "nutritionists" say for me to avoid, that would send my ED/DE into full swing, and cause WAY more problems.

Glad to see agave on here...same insulin spike as sugar. Also grapeseed oil has been known to make some people feel depressed if taken regularly. My husband did for focus and he had to stop because of the depressed feeling.

Do not skip your probiotics if you can’t commit to including probiotic rich foods in your diet.

I'm NOT a nutritionist and I have never purchased any of those items because I knew they weren't good for the body without spending four years in college.
