That's not what the Dynamic RAM Preview does. You can't assign RAM to an application - that's what the operating system does. The Dynamic RAM Preview is a specific kind of preview (you select a part of the timeline and render it to memory) and all you're doing with the setting is reserve memory for that. Memory that Vegas cannot use for any other purpose. Despite what so many YouTube videos say, this doesn't give you more memory, it takes it away.

This actually made it worse for me... crashed within 3 minutes of rebooting...

my vegas 20 still crashes after following all of these steps, for some reason my vegas crashes when i start playing the video in the middle of it.
