How To Fix Sony Vegas Pro Not Responding on Windows 10 Problem:

Hello Youtube! In this video, we will show you how to fix sony vegas pro has stopped working on the windows 10 problem and if your sony vegas is not working on your laptop or computer or your PC, then this video is for you. This fix is meant as an easy and quick way to get your sony vegas running again but if this doesn't work, the recommendation is to first restart your PC after all the solutions and fixes, and then try reinstalling windows. Meant for all current Windows versions: XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and of course Windows 10. This should work on all sony vegas versions including sony vegas pro 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and sony vegas pro 18.

i didn't disable my GPU through device manager, i just skipped to the part where I turned off GPU acceleration. Worked like a charm, thanks bruv

This works on Windows 11 too! My Sony Vegas Pro 13 keep crashing at startup on the File I/O Manager step. Renaming the compoundplug folder worked for me! Thank you so much! 🙏
I'm not sure if any further issues will arise while I use the program though. We'll see.

Ok so I'm having this weird Vegas Pro 17 issue. For a few months after I installed vegas .m2ts files worked just fine in it. One day I tried to open a project that used them and it crashed. Vegas still runs but I can't even click on an m2ts file to import it without vegas crashing

first fix just worked for me on Vegas 22 on Windows 11. Clicking render as would crash. Uninstalled and reinstalled vegas and it wouldn't work at all. This fixed it all.

It is fixed when I disable the graphics card but crashes again when I enable it. GPU acceleration is already off in video preferences. Please help

ty mate using both first methods worked for me, some videos i imported crashed sony vegas 11(only some), with this its fixed now : ) (edit: actualy ran into a problem with the compoundplug renamed, i imported a video thats around 40 minutes, in the video the footage after 40 minutes was simply gone and not be loaded into sony vegas 11, audio will still be there tho) (the only fix i found was loading in the faulty video with compoundplug renamed, then rendering the video, changin compoundplug back and load in the rendered video, which then worked without changing compoundplug so when i load the +40 minute video it loads in correctly)

Mine worked by disabling my intel display adapter. So does this mean that I have to disable it always whenever I want to use the program?
