NGL these old Xeon platforms are ace. I use an E5-2697A-V4 with a 1080ti in our lounge and it absolutely beasts games like ratchet and clank. Got an E5-2690 v1 + GTX 1070ti in the bedroom, also a killer machine. Both feel brand new in terms of their responsiveness.

Yes but I know little to nothing about pc. I am only trying to learn because my 11 year old is great with them. He has taught his class how to program. And he is the fastest typer in his school. Faster then all kids even the high school seniors. Only one teacher is faster then him. He types at 82 words per minute. The fastest teacher in his school types at 100 words per minute. Now he is doing 3d printing. I hope i can find him a good pc for him. To really start doing everything he wants. But with my knowledge I'm afraid I will get him a crappy pc. Because I don't know anything. I keep watching hoping that I will learn something but it's pretty hard to understand.

It's never a good idea to purchase something you have no knowledge about, even though if I didn't know how to build a pc I wouldn't buy one and stick with what I know, you don't know how much you can get scammed
