Sir Pentious is the friend that thrives on the "You are an idiot, but you are our idiot" group.
If you get into a group like that it is amazing!

I love that his crush is his "nemisis" or "rival" Cherri Bomb. She is probably the closest person to him because they fight so often and before the hotel she was the closest thing to a friend he had. He had probably always admired her and because he has no idea how to deal with those emotions, chose to "playfully" fight with her. Even in the pilot he didn't seem to ever be trying to actually hurt her or Angel.

Sir. Pentious is what happens when you give a Saturday morning cartoon villain a redemption arc

Pentious' redemption arc is one of the best parts of the show. A wannabe super villain who realized that all he wanted was to be accepted, grows closer and closer with his found family, and eventually not only confesses to the love of his life but commits the ultimate sacrifice for his friends. He earned being the first redeemed soul in Heaven.

Fun fact: Sir pentious was only supposed to be in the pilot as an one off character. But the crew loved him so much, they decided to make a reoccurring character in the show

The “but who hasn’t been in his shoes?” line from Charlie is so sweet. She realizes that he just wants a place to belong, and continues to offer that space for him, despite what he’s done.

My favourite thing about "Ot starts with sorry" is easily the fact that its STARTS with sorry.
Often seems that people are taught that sorry is the end of it, when in reality its more often than not the beginning of the process

I heard that the reason he doesn’t use his powers often is because he wants to be recognized for his skills and mind, rather than his innate abilities. Which definitely fits with how you’ve described him!

Sir Pentious deserves all the hugs and cookies in the world. He tries so hard to be bad and evil when really he's a brilliant engineer and inventor

I love that in Episode 6 they dangle Angel’s progress in front of us while letting Pentious sit in the background, but in Episode 8 they pull a bait and switch and make him (deservedly) the first to be redeemed

I am glad that the crew and the fans loved Sir Pentious enough to save him from just being a one-off character. If that happened we would have been denied the hilarious irony of a snake being the one to prove souls in Hell could be redeemed. The fact he did so while fighting a war against angels only made it better.

Sir Pentious has definitely become a fan-favorite. I think that he deserved his redemption.

Him petting Keekee was still so freaking cute. That was such a neat lil hint of "Yeah. He's ready."

The fact that Sir Pentious shares the same va as Adam makes me gobsmacked

This is why I love sir Pentious. He's a villain, but he isn't a bad guy. He just wants to be accepted and recognized for who he is and what he's capable of.

Sir Pentious is basically Megamind: he's someone who's convinced he has to fit in with less than reputable people, but is actually a big softie; even virtuous. That's the discontinuity in his character that makes him a comic foil, but also relateable. Everything he does betrays that he's an urchin who doesn't fit, even to the very end when he unexpectedly arrives in Heaven. He always tries his best, but his best always lands him in new unfamiliar territory where's right back to being the fool, not self possessed; not knowing what to do and just winging it.
If this rolling stone ever stopped long enough to gather some moss, he'd be quite formidable.

Yeah, that death scene of his was a weird mix of "this is supposed to seem funny cuz how fast Pentious was dealt with by Adam, but it's really not." Then that Heaven scene made me scream in joy. 😭

I love both Sir Pent and Lucifer, socially awkward goofs 🤧♥
the angel who can turn into a snake, and the snake who turned into an angel 🥺🥺

Still throwing my hat in the ring for a Vaggie video.

To go along with what I said on the Lucifer video, someone on tumblr put it best I think: “something about Vaggie being a discarded weapon that was humanized by Charlie’s kindness but the only love language she knows is devotion.”
