Doesn’t excuse the behavior, but makes the moment when he see Lute genuinely cares about him more touching.

That one smile from Adam really shot him up to one my favourite characters in the show. He has so much more depth to him if you just dig deeper into his situation, and I really hope we get to learn more in season 2

I so needed this of this scene from you because I think the same! They did care for each other. Also seeing true hurt from Lute was something... shes also my fav character. These two are such villainous characters yet this scene always make me sad :((
