Learned two or three very useful things about PlatformIO just by watching your video.
Thanks so much

Since you did not start with a fresh install, you have a "platformio.ini" file in the example directory while other like me have not... This is quite frustrating.

Hello, I just got one of these in the mail setup for NerdMiner, but I got some chips that weren't modded into the displays board. Do I need these to get it to work successfully?

If I connect a battery will I be able to recharge the battery by simply connecting a power supply through the USBC cable?

Great intro! I have a question, how many free pins are available for me to interface other sensors or devices on this board? I assume the display is taking some pins. Want to know if I can interface maybe, an IMU board with accelerometer and compass with it while still using the display.

It's my first time with ESP32 (I have the ESP32-C3FH4-RGB board) and would like to flash micropython (1.18 , ESP32-C3 with USB / 01SPACE_C3_RGB), but Is it possible to accidentally overwrite the 28KB Bootloader flash area?

Instead of using the Esspressif Flash Download Tool 3_9_3, I've read that it can be done with just a python module (idf.py's esptool) and the boot button?!

For micropython development, I plan to use but I'd like to eventually transition to a JTAG debugger and VS Code + PlatformIO (instead of Arduino IDE, ESP IDF, Mu, etc). From what I've read, Sysprog's UsbDriverTool / Zadig is used to install the WinUSB driver to an FTDI 4232 based board (similar to ESP-Prog board) in order to get 3 COM ports and one JTAG/OpenOCD port (interface 0).. the ESP32 doesn't support SWD. Once the JTAG wires are connected, the proper configuration needs to be setup for OpenOCD and PlatformIO, settings_json. ESP32's tips page has a good section called "Configuration of OpenOCD for specific target".

BTW, there is an educational version of the Segger's J-link debugger (edu/mini), but not sure if it can be made to work with Eclipse+OpenOCD. Would love to play with the data tracing feature (SWD's SWV/TDO)!

NOT very "user-friendly." You need to SHOW what you are clicking on, and keep the frame on the screen long enough for us to SEE it!! I about wore out my mouse going back just to try to see what you were doing!
