I really hate all the online guitar teachers that never mentioned this stuff and now I have to relearn EVERYTHING.

that solo in the beginning put me into a trance man, I forgot what the video was even going to be about

This is uncanny. Yesterday I was doing my learning exercises, and thought "wow, I really need to figure out if there's a technique or something to dull out the vibration on the strings I'm not playing".
Not 24 hours later, boom!
Thanks for living in my head, Steve! XD

Steve, I am 62 and pretty much a beginner and I could watch your videos all day. The way you explain things and encourage people, makes me think I have a chance to play well enough to enjoy it. That’s really all I want to do. Thanks

You are quite possibly the best teacher on YouTube for those who want to improve and fine-tune their playing technique. Thanks for sharing your expertise Mr. Stine!

That left index finger muting thing ... I'd never heard it mentioned before. Thanks! Another thing to be conscious about until it happens unconsciously. Wonderful!

Man, now I need to relearn all the hand positions... Part of getting an education is realizing what you don't know. Thanks.

This is all I need, I used to play solos with a lot of noise and blaming it on my pedals because I can't get rid of that annoying sound while playing solos though my picking habit isn't the problem, so my main thing here is I'm currently working on making the other strings mute while soloing and as of now my solos are clean as you can imagine. Thanks man! Great teacher!

Thank you bro. I hope this comment will up your video in the algorithm of "video suggestions" for every guitar student or any guitar player out there.

Steve you're a great teacher and take the time to give great helpful techniques, never BS that really doesn't make sense but always good helpful information theat if a student listens to and makes good use of will eventually make them a much better player, whether they are just playing for their own enjoyment or performing in a studio or a professional gig or just enjoying UA jam, session with friends. Another plus is that you also seem to really enjoy teaching others and have a very positive attitude. Sometimes as a teacher you wonder if students are truthfully g"getting it".. I just wanted to let you know, that I'm 66 years old and never had lessons, I've long since realized that if I had been fortunate enough to have had you as an instructor when I was 12 and just beginning, by now perhaps I, COULD HAVE BEEN ENJOYING A STAGE WITH Eric Clapton, Jon Mayer, Joe Bonnamasso, Tommy Emmanuel Or Yourself🇺🇸🙏( of, coirse I'm joking but I can wee where I would truly have acquired one helluva lot more talent. Anyway for what it's worth I enjoy tuning in now and again. God bless for the hard work and talent you put in to help others.

I have been practicing hard for the past year, but could not improve. After your guidance, after only 2 days, I realized my mistakes and did what I could not do in the past year. All the best things come you

Perfect! I'm a drummer who uses guitar for songwriting and I can't always control my electric once I apply distortion, so this shows what I'm not doing! Steve you explain this brilliantly.Sure it's gonna take me some practice but hey Cheers!
