You can literally play this game over and over and over again and it just never gets old! One of the best games ever made.

Another tip...
Dual wield flames at the beginning of the game. Spam both hands. Don't channel flames.. no, lika machine gun. The burn effect stacks and will obliterate everything in seconds. Best spell for a while.

heres some advice when using magic, make sure to do the bloodskal blade quest in solstim so you can get the black book that allows you to not be able to hurt followers with magic shouts and ranged attacks

I'm playing skyrim for the first time as of yesterday! I'm a few hours in and just did my first quest getting the golden claw. I'm already hooked lol great vid. This will come in handy

You mentioned Mining, but didn't mention the Ancient Nordic Pickaxe. Glover gives you a quest to get it, and therefore it becomes a quest item. That means that it is weightless and undroppable, as long as you never turn in the quest (recommended). The fact that it is needed to mine Stalhrim is just a bonus. You can get this as soon as you get to Solstheim with no combat involved.

If you want to truly immerse yourself into the role playing make Roggi Knot-Beard your steward for Goldenhills. He is a mead brewer and seeing as your farm is directly across from your Mead Hall (Hendraheim) that makes total sense. You grow food and make mead for Hendraheim.

I love being able to find these types of videos 10 years after this game was released. Always learn new things.😁👍

For Legendary, i would highly recommend Fortify Destruction potions to increase the damage. Since enemies are only taking 0.25× damage from you, and you're getting 3× damage from enemiesin in return. You're squishy without potions.

The elemental spell makes legendary much easier, if you don’t have the unofficial patch and take the perk that increases effectiveness of fear spells, that also increases the spells damage by another 10 points

Re: No Dragons

There’s also an option to disable random dragon spawns! As long as you’ve got the quest “A Blade in the Dark” (the one where you accompany Delphine to Kynesgrove) active, no random dragon attacks will occur! The only active dragons will be the ones in dragon roost sites like Shearpoint or Ancient’s Ascent, and I BELIEVE some will circle above their burial mounds, but never wander far from them. It’s a nice little alternative if you want to avoid the hassle of the random dragon encounters but also want to have access to Solstheim and the Dragonborn DLC.

An idea: Dual-wield a dagger in your left hand and a pickaxe in your main hand, then use elemental fury. Since your are swinging faster, you could get all the ore veins done in a extremally short amount of time. Using vegetable soup would solve any stamina problems.

15:52 You mentioned that the downside of the new elemental spells is that it affects your followers. A tip I just discovered to mitigate this in my first Skyrim run (yes, in 2022) is that you can get an special ability by reading the Black Book: Winds of Change in Solstheim. When you finish the quest (you only have to advance linearly in the Apocrypha until you reach the Black Book), you can choose one of 3 abilities (orbs glowing out of the book), and pick Companion's Insight: Your attacks, shouts, and destruction spells do no damage to your followers.
You can get the book when you defeat the boss at the end of Raven Rock Mine, during the quest "The Final Descent". You just have to speak to a guy inside the mine who is discussing with her wife and help him to explore the mine instead of him.
Not sure if there is any level that you need to do this, because I got contacted really early in the game by the Cultist so I had the chance to get there like at level 10 I guess, I just didn't do it before. The only thing is that the masked wizard boss of the dungeon is powerful, so it is probably a good idea go there with some levels and be prepared to defeat the guy.

Ok, I honestly didn't think you'd have anything I'd never heard before...but... having the follower fill soul gems...I knew about that...but i had no idea you could loot them and drop them to un-fill them. I am genuinely impressed! Well done

15:51 Alternatively, you can also use Mjoll the Lioness as a follower. She's marked as essential in the game files and as such, she cannot die. She's a 2 handed wielder so she works well as a tank. Allowing you to stand back and cast comfortably while she soaks up enemy damage. Just be sure to give her some magica resistance items because she can still be downed by your spells. There're other essential followers you can get, but I found her to be one of the best.

Another great tip is when making a new character is to start the Bittercup quest right at level 1 since the quest has no level requirement. Pick the power cup and when you get into the arena you can get a full set of ebony armor, a shock ebony sword, a daedric helm, gauntlet, axe and of course the champions helm and sword. Having full ebony armor along with a daedric axe at level 1 makes you pretty formidable early one
