Bernoulli's principle states that as the speed of a fluid (such as a gas or liquid) increases, the pressure within that fluid decreases. Conversely, as the speed of the fluid decreases, the pressure within the fluid increases. This principle is based on the conservation of energy and can be observed in a variety of real-world phenomena, such as the lifting of an airplane wing, the flow of water in a pipe, and the operation of a carburetor. It is named after the Swiss mathematician Daniel Bernoulli who published this principle in his book "Hydrodynamica" in 1738.
