Amazing! I tried it with a produce bag from the grocery store. It worked! Three breaths vs ONE. Now I’ll be reading about Bernoulli’s Principal. I love science too!

The science teacher we all wish we had in high school. Great video. Thanks.

I wish our science teachers were also so passionate about teaching... Great lesson and explanation 👍🏻✌🏼😎

This is also how the emergency slides on airplanes inflate. There is a small compressed gas chamber, but most of the air is the surrounding air that has just been blown in.

Thank you sir....i just bought air circulation fan... For 2 weeks i experiment with this fan...now i know how to use it using this bernaulli principle...it got better than old style stand fan...more cooler...less humidity....

There's actually another video somewhere on YouTube that the guy tested the optimal location of a fan in relation to a window by measuring the airspeed of the incoming air. The more air that comes in indicates more air being blown out. He found that putting a standard box fan about a yard (or a meter, for those of who who don't have a flag on the moon 😝) away from the window, or about the diameter of the fan, produced the most air circulation.

I'm currently living in my van, and I'm going to try and use this principle to some degree to keep it cool in here for the summer. Science!

This is not bernoulli, but a phenomenon called entrainment. This is the same phenomenon with air over aircraft wings where more air is pulled downward to help with lift. Bernoulli has no place with airfoils since we are not working with restrictions such as venturies, but mire to do with a fluid going over a curved surface.

I’m thirty-five, and this *instantly* reminded me of all the things I loved about science class throughout school. Instant sub, hoping to see more!

by the way, initially seen on Reddit. you’re getting a lot of love there!

That was excellent. I wish I’d known about the fan trick when I was young.

Thank you for the clear explanation AND a practical application of the principle, sometimes people explain things that get forgotten because nobody knows how tu use them
