Knee bursitis comes on from over doing it OR from trauma to the knees. It causes swelling and pain around the knee joint that can make it uncomfortable to move and use the knee.

If everything is done correctly, knee bursitis should not last more than 2-4 weeks.

Yet some people deal with it for months!

It’s usually because they’re doing activities that are unknowingly making it worse!

In this video, Dr. David shows you the top 5 treatments for quickly healing knee bursitis.

Finally a sensible explanation among a sea of ridiculous videos online. Thank you.

This is so helpful! I broke my hip resulting in a total hip replacement. Knee started going bad - "your glutes aren't firing" was the P.A.'s generic answer, leaving me to research multiple problems on my own. I'm in P.T. but the gal I see (while awesome) is very new. I don't have a choice, but if I weren't an 11-hour drive I'd want to see Dr. David in person! Thank you @ El Paso P.T.!!!

Mine is on the outside of my knee . It came from kneeling while gardening. I have not been able to kneel for 6 months. I will try these exercises. These are different than my PT has recommended

Hello I wanted to chime in and thank you, , , im 57 female with old knee injuries that generally are not a problem. But one day I woke up and my knee cap looked like a cupcake, I assessed it to having knelt on it while welding in my shop, but that's about it. I combed the Internet and you tube, but nothing quite described what I was going through. Then I found You! And every single word applied to me!!! Right down to realize my butt cheeks hurt when trying your suggested exercise. You Sir are a Gift From God! And I want to Thank God out loud for this! May God Bless You In His Most Specialist Of Ways!!! Thank you for all you give us out here who do not trust the surgical / pharmaceutical medical field . Also who have a very limited income, ,, You Sir are Truly a Blessing ❤❤❤❤

This was super helpful. I've had bursitis since January after falling onto my knee. It got better in March, but I recently traveled and it flared up again badly. It's in the process of healing again and hopefully these exercises will get rid of it for good.

Your video popped in my feed but probably because I was researching bursitis as I got it on my left knee, impressive size of golf ball... Mine was not painful but swell was very uncomfortable, I stopped using trousers for a while as knee was not able to fit in it!

The condition is healing fast and there is jyst a bit liquid still left in the knee.

I am glad for your video to come up as I want to make sure my housemaid knee is fully recovered without any returns.

Hello from PA, I am going through it right now. I had a work injury almost 8 months ago! I never had any problems with my knee prior to this. I never had any rest for my knee injury and I am a Nurse working with skilled dementia residents and continually walking around or standing up working All day long. I had 3 months of PT, a steroid injection and a Visco injection. Nothing Helped at All except for resting and icing after work and on my days off. My leg actually looked m 13:23 deformed after so many months of walking around on it because it wasn’t able to heal. SO… I ended up getting Arthroscopy debridement of hypertrophic fat pad and chondroplasty of petallar medial femoral condyle… 😢 Started Traditional PT 2 days after Surgery and bye the second week My Entire knee was swollen and couldn’t bend it. Stopped PT and my surgeon started me on a Steroid tapper pack. I just finished that. Still using crutches almost 5 weeks post surgery. Started using your tail gate swing during my steroid meds and massage my quads and around my entire knee area. Now I’m working on my glutes 😊Not my quads because I feel that I was using them in PT and that’s what triggered my knee to basically almost freeze up. I am currently using your videos for a better way for myself to help heal my knee 🙏🏽 Any Advice since I Already had Surgery? I feel that your information has helped make a difference already and I did share it with my Doctor. Thank you for helping Me and others find some relief. Linda

This is your second video I watched about this issue. I had visited an orthopedic doctor who said I have tendinitis below/inside of knee. Watched the first video realizing it was probably bursitis too. Started using active massage gun and now I will do these exercises.

Keep up the good work! Thanks

I love this detailed explanation. Far better than my doctors. I used to volunteer for stray animals. During the feed, I think I overused my knee, which initiated my problem. Soon, I was hit by covid, and not too long after symptoms receded, my PT made me do lunges and step ups. All those used to hurt and pull my knee. So, every time, after that, when I've tried to go from a low seated position to standing, it pulls and hurt. Same goes during kneeling. My doctor thinks it's a suprapatellar bursitis. But not much advise apart from basic exercises and medicine.

1. Can I walk?
2. Can I go cycling?
3. How long should these exercises be done?

PT even gave me exercise to go into a bridge and straight one leg at a time; other required bending on one knee, taking other leg forward at bend, then stretching. It causes more pressure on the knee..

So different from what others are saying but makes total sense. The glute activation is hard for me so kinda says whats going on. So thanks.
