This is a great video! My husband and I spent 13 days in Cancun with only a carry-on and personal bag each! So, we know it definitely can be done. I have two tips to add. 1. Deep Woods Off makes bug repellent wipes if you find you don't have enough room to carry bug spray as a liquid.
2. Ladies, don't over pack day wear. I wear a bathing suit and sarong most days, staying at an AI. I bring two of each. I use the larger sarongs that can be tied to look like a sundress. They're fine to wear to breakfast and lunch at resorts as long as your bathing suit is dry(ish).

Thank you for making these videos! We ditched checking bags after arriving at MCO at midnight (delayed flight), and waiting over an hour for our luggage. I have the same weekender bag, and I love it.

You are talking about the stomach bathroom, I recommend a supplement of magnesium at night, I take it everyday I have high BP. It also helps with sore muscles and keeps you regular.

This is a must watch video. Going with a carry on was so convenient and easy. We discovered that we were able to take everything we needed without the hassle of waiting for luggage.. Just got back from Moon Palace and we loved it. Will go back next year;

There are two additional things that I always take on the plane with me. One is a bottle of Dristan. My sinuses give me hell when the plane is descending. The other is a small flashlight. It frequently comes in handy when searching for something on your seat, in your bag, or that may have fallen on the floor under the seat in front of you. I also keep it with me when out after dark because the sidewalks in Mexico are frequently a little uneven.

I love to travel carry on only when I can but for an all inclusive I do checked because its included with the airline I book with whereas a carry-on isn’t, and either way we’re waiting for the people with checked luggage to get the bus/transfer to resort.

Always allergy meds! Had a miserable couple days when I had allergies internationally at a non-allergy season at home

Good video! As for sandals, I recommend multipurpose sandals that can be worn in the shower too. Protect those feet from 🦠 haha. Also, for those who do decide to check bags (and you have an iphone), apple AirTag is a MUST!.
