1 pair of shoes is practical, 2 pairs are extravagant, 3 pairs is unnecessary overkill.

My advice: Forget the shoes. Pack extra underwear, shirts and socks instead.
When on vacation (especially if you're in a warm place) you're often outside during the daytime, so it's nice to change before going out for the evening.

i work with luggage and i assure you fragile stickers are only put on the bag for the owner to feel better, we throw every bag the same way... dealing with around 100 bags weighing 50lbs+ each we dont have time to handle your bag with care.

When you check in your bag you can ask the airline counter officer to put fragile tag it's way better than your own sticker. I do that all the time

Nothing will ensure your baggage is safe, especially if you fly to Iceland. Believe me. Two trips through Iceland and stuff was hugely damaged or stolen both times. They just don't care.
