I have severe deuteranopia (red-green colourblindness) and even I can tell the difference between the OLED and standard screen. These Switch comparisons are similar to the iPad mini vs Pro argument, with many preferring the form factor of the mini but wishing it the advantages of a Pro.

One OLED feature I didn’t expect to like as much as I am is the table top mode. The kickstand, improved speakers, larger + more vibrant screen has made me want to use it more frequently.

Honestly have been struggling with what to have. This one has finally made me make up my mind and go for the OLED over the switch lite even though it's the most positive review of the switch lite. I just think your points are very well explained and it's the best review I've heard.

I'm currently debating with myself whether to sell my OG Switch and Switch Lite to fund a new OLED Switch. I held off from buying the OLED with the clear reason of I can't go back into playing handheld with the OG size but these past few days I've been tempted with that new screen! I'm glad I've seen your video today because I also feel the same! If Nintendo refreshed the Switch Lite and OLED screen, I would buy that in a heart beat!

FINALLY someone with smaller hands review the OLED and talk about the grip sizes on Satisfye and Skull and Co with the Switch and Lite. As someone with small hands as well, I found that all these youtubers are reviewing the grips and Oled saying it's the perfect size for adult hands (apparently I don't have adult hands). So thanks for the helpful review, I agree with you on all points!

OLED has been the best upgrade for me. Considering I'm opposite when it comes to hand size so it fits me to a T.

The screen also being bigger and more vibrant is a real eye opener for me. Playing portable while traveling or laying down while playing without squinting or holding the screen so close to my face to get tuned in is no longer an issue for me anymore 😁


So.. it all really comes to preference now that Nintendo is giving the fans out here options 😄

sold my v2 switch and got the oled. totally worth it but i wish they did release a lite model with oled screen. that would be the definitive switch to me cause i never play docked mode

I've had the Switch Lite for about a year and then switched to the OLED model. Sometimes I'm looking back... The form factor of the Lite is of course better in a portable situation, but I truly only want one Switch for both handheld and TV, so I'm wishing the next Lite model (with OLED screen) could have dockability added, that would truly be my perfect Switch.

I have the regular Switch and the Switch Lite. I don't have the Switch OLED, but I was thinking of getting one, but I don't know if there's any point of getting it now, if Nintendo is going to develop it's new generation console next year or two years from now, that's what the rumors say.

Anyway, I transferred all the game data from my regular Switch to my Switch Lite and to be honest, I'd pretty much rather use Lite than the regular Switch any day because I like playing it on the go.

Currently, I have both switch oled and switch lite. I play on my switch lite the most because it's more portable, fits in my purse and mini backpacks, and it fits in my hand super well. but i have an oled for if my switch lite breaks in some way. and for multiplayer

I'm looking forward to the Oled! The Switch Lite feels more portable and compact on the go! I always play the Switch in tabletop mode with the Switch Pro Controller because it feels more comfortable and it gives u that home console feeling!

I really appreciate this video as someone who was sort of on the fence about which to get but was leaning towards the lite. I really only play games alone, I have a PS4 to my big tv, I just want to play a handful of games...the lite works fine with me and eliminates the need for all of those Switch accessories and controllers you would normally buy with the docked console. Plus in a few years when my kid gets older I can just give him the Switch Lite and introduce him to Mario 👍

I cant decide between the oled and the lite. I only play handheld and im afraid i wont like the small screen of the lite. Im also worrying that the oled wont be comfortable for handheld 😅

The oled is nice as i do love the screen and oled option but the lite is nice as well as even with the controller dock i got for oled makes it feel nixer in handheld. The lite feels a bit better especailly with grip i got, something about the smaller form factor makes it feel a little better in handheld mode. Both are great, if you play both on tv and handheld mode i say oled. if your purely for handheld mode and feels good in the hands then i suggest the lite. Also another bonus of lite i like the sd card slot better than the oled ^^ Personally i would love a switch lite oled, with upgrades to it such as a better screen, better thumbsticks, and battery life.

Also side note, if you share switch with a sibling or family member and want get your own and dont want pay full price of switch or switch oled, then a switch lite a good alternative when the other person using the main console.

Very interesting take on this.... have sold my v1 Switch and ordered an Oled with intention of selling my lite (which I use for work) but think I'll see how I feel now when it arrives as I also like a proper d pad too which the lite has... Great review guys have subscribed and also great channel name reminds me of my Spectrum 128k days shopping in WhSmiths (and it still works to this day) 😀

Totally agree, I have both and ideally I’d have a Lite with a larger OLED screen.
