I am an empath. I know this to be true. the events that have happened to me can not be denied
yet, I will go to my grave knowing what empaths are. I do not empathize, the definition of empathy and defining what an empath is are two different things. I am less the clinically defined version and more hypoempathic, not hyper - hypoempathic. consciously aware of my thoughts differing from outside empaths. I really am unable to control the input from empaths and have no control of what my mind is putting out. sometimes getting negative feedback keeping the activities, imagery, etc. too loud and for too long. I have a theory about empaths and would love to be able to finally share it with someone who understands, because until I saw these videos, I really thought I was flying solo , and not ever going to meet other empaths. I look forward to correspondence

This makes a lot of sense, but some empaths claim they can sense the emotions of others regardless of wether or not they are getting any common sensory data from that person and claim there is a spiritual aspect to it. A friend of mine even claims to be able to change the emotions of others, making them feel suffering or joy or whatever. I believe some people have high empathic ability, but these bolder claims are where I start to doubt

This might be a whole other topic but I sometimes know information before it happens. Like sometimes I’ll watch a movie for the first time and I’ll think of something that happens next and it does. Or I’ll think something and then a person will say or do the thing I think. What is this and does it apply to being an empath?

I watched someone go off on Tik Tok about Empaths not being real. I'm curious as to why they felt the need to try and make people doubt an Empath's existence. Like if I were a random person I would hope they existed. Many people need an Empath in their life. What's needed even more than an Empath though is an Empath with experience in all kinds of tough situations. They are the best listeners and advisers there are. But it feels to me the person in the Tik Tok has some jealousy towards Empaths. If Empaths didn't exist we wouldn't have very many people in the psychology field of work and if we did they wouldn't give advice or even care about giving advice for your problems. They would just sit there hoping you would move on past your personal issues that way you can talk about something they find interesting. The guy in the Tik Tok could've also been fooled by a wolf in sheeps clothing and is taking it out on all Empaths. Empaths do exist.

Of course empaths are imaginary! Star trek invented that idea. Astrology is on the same wave length as thinking you’re an empath. Show me where in the dsm-v that empaths are an actual thing
