I lived in St. Petersburg Florida for 12 years from Oct. "96" till Sept. "08". There are so many drugs down there it is almost impossible to drive down the street without drug dealers running up to your car. It also depends on what area you are driving around as to how many drug dealers you will see. Almost every adult down there drinks every day! I worked at a gas station and beer was our 2nd highest money maker everyday of the week! (Not just weekends) Gas was the only thing that brought in more money than beer! St. Pete is a party town! Don't even get me started on the vagrancy! There are homeless camps and many homeless walking the streets. Homeless people are standing there with signs asking for money. Driving down US 19 there are also many female street workers. It's true that the beaches are beautiful with white sand that is brought in by the truck load every season! It is almost impossible to drive down the road without seeing a cop car! They are everywhere and always looking to arrest or ticket someone too! I still live in Florida, but much farther north and nowhere near the peninsular city of St. Pete anymore!

I've been there once a couple years ago. It looked like a shithole honestly.
