I've never felt so complimented, simply by living in a specific state, than I have listening to Briggs say I live in a great state LOL

One thing I really like about Pennsylvania is how "history rich" it is. It's one the oldest states in the country, and you'll be in paradise there if you are a history fanatic.

You’re the first person I’ve ever seen who noticed that we are in the middle of the pack by almost every metric you can think of, and that includes Pennsylvanians. I’ve lived here all of my 52 years and never had any desire to move. Why? Because it’s fine.

I'm a native Pennsylvanian (with the exception of living in Houston, Texas from 1970 to 1981), I can't think of being in a nicer state. The scenery is spectacular and the food is to die for. I grew up in Philadelphia (cheesesteaks) but now live in Lancaster (whoopie pies). Thank you for putting Pennsylvania in a good light.

Regardless the time of day or night I seem to find a peace watching Mr Briggs vids. Definitely my “safe space” whenever I overthink too much about my personal problems lol. Hope everyone found a happy moment in their day & made it home .

I have lived in Pennsylvania my entire life. This year was the first year I traveled across the state from the Philadelphia Metro area to Pittsburgh and then to State College. I never realized how truly beautiful this state is. Additionally, some of the small towns are just incredible to visit, walk, and live. Lititz, Doylestown, New Hope, Lahaska, and so many others. Bucks, Chester, and Lancaster counties are just beautiful. The history, the nature, and each season brings gorgeous landscapes and foliage. I am blessed to call Pennsylvania home.

We retired to FL from NJ in 2015. We’ve decided to move to PA in 2025. As much as we love FL, we miss the four seasons and that way of life. Great video.

PA is my home state. However, property taxes are ridiculous. Property taxes are not leveled evenly across the state. If you are checking real estate prices in PA, make sure you pay attention to the property taxes.

I'm Pennsylvania born and bred (Pa Dutch!) and although I lived in several states due to my work, I'm happy to be back in PA for the last 20 plus years. I've retired to Perry County the end of this year and love the peace and quiet, surrounded by farm lands and covered bridges and some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet!

Born and raised in Texas, and currently living in Utah. However, I’ve been to multiple states and Pennsylvania is definitely one of the main ones I’ve been to. I think personally it is significantly underrated. It’s got a mix of big cities and rural towns, cheaper than most states in the northeast, birthplace of the Declaration of Independence, the most cities ending with -burg, and it is in between when it comes to politics. In fact, if you do the research, the vast majority of presidents elected have had to win Pennsylvania in order to win the presidential election, so definitely Pennsylvania is an important or probably one of the few most important states nationwide, even California. This is by no means to say that it is a perfect state to live in. it sure has its disadvantages as well like every state.

I live in SW PA. We have been having milder winters the last several years. Not like the snow we used to get when I was growing up. The summer and fall are just beautiful! We have an acre in the country that borders 2 forests and wild deer in our backyard every day. I just live it! Retired and happy here!

I have lived in PA for 59 years and have lived in western, central and now eastern PA. I love our state. Everything he says is true and yes avoid the Philly airport. There are some depressing areas (former coal and steel towns that have not bounced back) so keep that in mind and the western side of the state is far cloudier from Nov through March than Eastern PA. Philly has 54 more sunny days than Pittsburgh. Generally, the state's population is growing mainly from around I 81 eastward except for some pockets like State College. There are a lot of New York and New jersey transplants moving into the eastern side especially in the Lehigh valley so the character of that area is changing. I would say probably the best areas to move to would be Lancaster and Chester counties in the southeast or the far northeast (well beyond the awful towns of Hazelton and Wilkes Barre) like he said around Honesdale, Milford... more in the Pocono region. The State College and Lewisburg areas in Central PA are nice too and thriving (they are college towns). A big benefit for retirees is retirement income is not taxed at the state level and we have no sales tax on most groceries and clothing.

As a native from Pittsburgh now in Texas the lush green nature is one thing I miss.

I’m originally from the Poconos and recently moved to Philly. PA is an amazing place to call home.

I live in the Keystone State. I previously lived in Florida and just found this a much more pleasant place. Florida has the advantage of not requiring snow shovels, but I'm still staying here. What holds back growth of our population is that our young grads are simply looking for places where they might get larger paychecks.

Thanks Briggs! I’m from Pittsburgh moved to Portland and had culture shock.

I think Pennsylvania is a beautiful state that is totally under rated. I once worked for a savvy business entrepreneur in the trucking industry who was a really decent fellow. As a a Wisconsinite, having been born here and lived here for the past 35 years, I would make PA as my second choice to live and grow in my capacity. PA is truly beautiful. It can’t be understated.
