#newzealand #story #education This video is about the reasons behind why you should not move to New Zealand. The country is beautiful and amazing however their are things about the country that many people don't know about so in this video I have decided to give you a full breakdown of why that is.

One word about the school bullying: the reason NZ stands out is that they made the effort of recording and investigating, unlike for example Japan, which has one of the worst bully cultures on the planet but nobody really ever looked into it for the real numbers.

I have lived in New Zealand most of my life. There are many great things about New Zealand such as the food, the scenery, the welfare state, the sport etc .However, there is also the dark side of New Zealand which you have accurately identified. The worst is the high crime rate, and rampant youth crime with little in the way of punishment, many drivers are very aggressive on the road and they will tail gate you trying to make you pull over even though you are going at the right speed limit, lack of opportunity for the creative arts such as Actors and Actresses.

As a Pommegrant at the age of six I was bullied in school. I was a weedy Londoner brought up on rationing, 'nuff sed. But I discovered a natural talent for throwing rocks and worked hard at developing long range, rate of fire, accuracy ... and to Mum's despair, kept what the navy calls "Ready Use" ammo in my pockets. Kiwi kids, well fed and indignant with (huge!) inferiority complexes bullied me, so at any (R) any range and anywhere I'd pepper them with stones (I got the strap a lot at school)(but it was worth it!). With two other Pom kids we formed a small gang and honed our skills; the "Big Tough Kiwis" learned quickly to leave us alone.
Flash forward, New Zealand has matured vastly and attitudes have changed. I came back to England to try to make the wifey happy, and she now sees what a huge mistake that was; we shall eventually be going back to NZ where I will burn my UK passport so it cannot happen again.

Kudos for posting on negative…however every country has negatives and positives…I don’t think anyone expects perfection

I have been living in NZ for a year now, the country has some amazing scenery. But the horrible cities, damp houses, cost of living, all the crime and gangs, the horrible roads, the polluted rivers and lakes in which you can't swim (and that is like 75% of all the lakes and rivers) is really really really bad. There is nothing pristine about NZ there is so much pollution. On top of that the pay is half of that of what I can earn in the Netherlands. I am deeply deeply deeply disappointed after 12 months in NZ I am going back to the Netherlands.

That's crazy. After crossing Portugal off my list due to extremely low wages and insane living costs, now I might have to consider crossing New Zealand off too (I'll still give it a chance). Not worried about crime though, almost anywhere is better than South Africa. New Zealand is definitely an upgrade to RSA but I'll have to consider other options.

As someone who lives in NZ, I agree with you

This is so accurate, and I'm so glad you didn't hold back. When I first saw the title, I thought it would be some light and fluffy click bait title with nothing deep and nothing of substance but this gets to the real hidden truths that so many try to cover up or deny because, 'kiwiana' culture is so sensitive to any negative feedback. I've grown up in NZ my whole life (I'm stuck here due to family reasons) and I wish I could have left this country years ago. There's no real quality of life unless you want to live very very simply or if you have a corporate executive position. Thank you for the honesty and telling it like it is.

Crime has doubled since the pandemic? What's your source on that? It's still better than the UK, USA, France, Sweden, Italy, Australia...
You say 'Not many people have jobs'. Unemployment is at 3.4% and was lower than that when this video came out. That's lower than Australia, UK, USA, almost all of Europe and Africa....

As for content creation, if you make good content, then being in New Zealand won't stop you. Else how has McCreamy gotten over 9m subscribers? Bryce Langston's channel has 4.4m subs and he was on Shortland St for crying out loud.

Try again mate.

Sadly this is an accurate and honest assessment of NZ, the high youth suicide is the most heart breaking of them all, it is of course related to our high rates of violence within the homes and lack of fathers in the homes. Also our leadership through the education system encourages a high degree of permissiveness that leads to our youth feeling empty and lost. We need Christ in our lives to know how to care, love and nurture our families, our families need strong good fathers to be role models and nurturers for our boys and young men. We need Christian Judeo principles in our institutions and communities if we ever want to genuinely change any of these problems.

I'm calling bullsh*t on this. I'm living in NZ with my family for 4 years now (Auckland, Freemans Bay, near the CBD), and I've not seen the chaos, hate, and danger you are selling. First of all, I'd like to see some authoritative sources for your conclusions: Support your arguments with hard data. Show us with actual statistics how bullying is so bad here. Show us with actual stats how crime is so unbearable. Walk the talk. Are you also seriously saying that Kiwi content creators cannot create content in NZ? The internet is global, mate. My experience is, of course, much different than what you describe. For me, it's all positive. But I've lived elsewhere in the world and can compare NZ to other countries. I'd suggest you get some perspective before posting this fearmongering stuff. Anyone watching this, look up the stuff that would most discourage you from coming here and get some actual statistics. Make a data-based decision.

New Zealand was once a beautiful and safe place to live to live. I remember the days when we didn't need to lock our doors if we went away on holiday. Those were the days when you could leave your money and car keys on the table without someone stealing them. Aucklands the worst place to live, it is now overpopulated with immigrants. All you hear about is killings and murders and the majority of these killings are committed by foreigners/gangsters especially out South Auckland. As a New Zealanders I highly recommend that you think twice before coming here. I don't think of New Zealand as N.Z anymore because I believe that our beautiful country now belongs to the FOREIGNERS.

You are 100% rite everyone who is looking to come to new zealand to better yourself dont bother unless youve got heaps of money. Go on a holiday there its beautiful but id think again about settling it will chew you up and spit you out with a low morale and no savings. First hand experience. Thank you for putting this content out there so people can consider this. You only hear the positives. There are a lot of depressed people and it is almost impossible to find positivity. Working people get absolutely nowhere fast. Great place to settle if your from poverty stricken countries.

It's not like bullying is a huge problem in every school. I went to school in NZ and wasn't bullied. Never saw any bullying. Depends what you mean by "bullying". Every year there would be a "fight season" where new kids would fight or attack someone, then they'd get expelled and it'd be over for the year. When the next year started, new troublemakers would arrive, fight, and get expelled again. By the end of school I was so removed from the new kids socially I never noticed it.

This is pretty much all common stuff that happens all over the world.

NZ was great 20 years ago. It had so much potential. But the current cost of living is out of this world. I recently paid 5.90 for a regular flatwhite. Crime culture has suddenly exploded. And its super boring unless you like fishing and hiking.

You're right about bullying.. it also permeates outside of college. It can be a very clicky place, hard to break into other groups. There is also lots of Bias between North and south Islanders. Its goes deeper than this, and tall poppy syndrome plays a big factor. The legal system is too soft as well, but I'll leave it there for now.. great video!!
