I just watched another video from another doctor claiming it’s not vitamin deficiency. It’s actually a micro injury to the nail. It can happen from chewing your nails, hitting them in the car door or giving someone a backhanded slap.

Nooo it has nothing to do with that it is a nail damage due to bitting ur nails or closing the window on ur finger...

So why do I only have white spots on my right hand? I’m I semi deficient? according to another Dr this is caused by impact which makes sense because I’m right handed.

All the people in here saying he’s wrong because he’s not a doctor, you do realize that doctors go to school for MEDICINE, not nutrient deficiencies. Just because this man isn’t an MD doesn’t mean he’s wrong. I do blood work and vitamins and minerals tests multiple times a year and can tell you for certain that anything involved with the nails, whether that be white spots, vertical or horizontal ridges, brittleness all comes down to nutrient levels in the body. White spots can definitely happen from damaging the nail yes. But white spots can also be caused by nutrient deficiencies as well.
