I understand what you did. .but...I keep getting over exposed pics ..even choking down the appature as far as it can go...also put on a 10 stop nd filter to no avail....what am I not understanding?

He didn't mention ISO he didn't mention aperture he didn't mention whether you need a filter or not because you don't know whether you're doing this sunrise or sunset or in the middle of the day and he didn't mention that you would need a tripod for this or some way to keep everything steady if you're taking that long of an exposure

What should aperture and iso be on. I took a pic my iso was auto and at f18 the image was just bright white. Help please.

If only it was like the old cameras where there was a mechanical device you could attach to the shutter and hold the shutter open with your finger, some shots I want to take would take many minutes of exposure
