I'll be pissed if bitlocker is enabled by default... That would cause me a lot of headaches.

Reverting to Windows 10 turns out to be a better decision with every following Windows 11 news item, I encounter.
It is unbelievable. Microsoft has turned themselves into a plague.

And what if I don’t want to connect a Microsoft account? I only use a local account with my windows, this would make it impossible until I get this off!

Could you repeat that. How would home users get something that is not in the home version? And I suppose updating from home 23H2 to 24H2 would not be affected?

So I should download a 23H2 ISO, Then install from that when I want to restore.

Isn't the idea of the forced online Microsoft account to store the Bitlocker (recovery) key? Or would they really be that stupid?

Can I turn that off during the installation ?

Are the workers at microsoft psychopaths or something? What makes them think people would want slower performance and drive encryption with a chance of losing the key? Are they crazy?
