No one should be ashamed of their race. We’re all humans. We didn’t choose to be any particular color or genetic combination. Do good; be good. That is all.

Mexicans, Colombians, and most Latin Americans are descendants of Spaniards, so they are white. "Mexican" is not a race; it's a nationality. You should feel proud of the things you accomplish—the things you do, build, or create—or the things your family or your countrymen have done. Feeling proud of your race, your hair, or the color of your eyes is the stupidest and lamest thing you can say. It clearly comes from someone who has never accomplished anything.
White guilt is also very, very damaging and stupid. Since you want to talk about race, then let's say this: white people have built the longest, most successful, and just civilization in the history of humankind, across all continents on planet Earth. I don't know why people should feel guilty about that.

Just fyi, historically every race has been enslaved. But most of the major advancements in society and knowledge were done by white nations. Just some historical context for ya. Doesnt make anyone better, because we are all the same race. But cultures are different.. and some have contributed more than others.

I will take a different tack. I generally think of pride in the respect of an accomplishment; but I’m certainly not ashamed of being white.

If color doesn't matter what is all this about? Be proud to be honest, be proud to be a productive member of society, be proud to be clever, fair, resourceful, a reliable friend, a good parent ... of ANY color!
