This is a very well-done video. I plan on using it in my classroom, I have my students reading Night atm, and I think this will be an excellent side lesson on students agreeing or disagreeing with your thoughts.

As a former Lutheran and church goer now atheist/agnostic here’s the issue with the whole assessment.
; Evil is 100% justified at times, the holocaust was undeniably evil however the millions of deaths that lead to their freedom is a necessary evil for the betterment of others.
Most wars are like this.
; If god is good and just Ellie is right why does he allow such atrocities to happen if they did no wrong and Jesus died for the sins of everyone?
; Jews don’t believe in Jesus so anything relating to Jesus is complete bullshit when in relation to Judaism.
; Morality is not based on the existence of god, true the first writings of any semblance of morality is in the 10 commandments however it isn’t known if this basic code of ethics existed before the writing/publication of the bible or if this was 100% the creation of the bible.
; there is no meaning to life, we are born and we die. Meaning is what we make of it, have a family and raise kids or get a good career it’s all meaningless as after we die (unless you invented something or fixed a major issue or caused it) you won’t be remembered

In conclusion faith is born from injustices and hardship to try and understand the meaning of life and why you continue to live on in the face of “evil”.
God along with every other religion is a peoples way of understanding the world in a time without science to make sense of it all.

In the face of science god fails, and in the face of evil god fails.
