Hello everyone and welcome to my new book review. A short one today but a heavy one. Elie Wiesel was born in Romania and in 1944, his family was taken by the Nazis for the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Buchenwald. In this memoir, he shares the terrifying time as a child in the camps as he tries to stay close to his father and recounts the life in the camp as he tries to stay alive. A must read. A never forget.

📚 "Night" by Elie Wiesel is a gripping memoir that plunges readers into the harrowing depths of the Holocaust. Wiesel's haunting narrative unveils the brutal realities of survival and the loss of innocence. A must-read that compels reflection on humanity's capacity for cruelty. 🕊️ #Night #ElieWiesel #BookReview

I've always been afraid to read this book. But you are right: reading about it is nothing compared to going through it. And it's true, watching people become mistreated and doing nothing is not a moral option. Wonderful review. I did manage to read Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. It was a beautiful book.

As an American, I learned about the Holocaust in school, but never about Manzanar, the Japanese-American internment during WW2. I read the book, Farewell to Manzanar and was shocked and ashamed. I read Night many years ago. I should reread. I agree, we should never forget.
