Excellent review.  I read this book years ago and it has haunted me ever since.  It is unthinkable that humans could treat one another in this way, but sadly it has occurred over and over in human history.  I guess we can only hope that at some point we will evolve beyond commiting such horrors against each other.

Good review and I will be looking forward to what you think of Lincoln. I read it once and just kept going even though the different voices confused me. I plan to read it again while listening to the audio, which I have heard is a great production with over 100 actors, including some famous ones. So hopefully will get more out of it this time🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️!
