I accidentally entered the coaching industry in 2017/18… and just now in 2023 I’m coming out. Phew! Your videos are helping me stay away gurus, coaches, mentors..

No amount of self improvement, profits, and followers are enough over losing your connection to reality, connection to family, and your values, and self-respect..

I’ve gotten further in life just through hard work BEFORE I was exposed to scammy mindset coaching.. which made me super confused..

All the money I had was from my hard work before I met these people.

Sigh.. so glad I’m out of that world!

The funny part is that my mom saw through it from Day 1 and warned me. She would tell me: that coach sounds really fearful and anxious.. are you sure you wanna take their advice? My whole family just knew! And I thought my family was wrong.. but they were right lol

H.L Mencken once said (this is the closest to a documented attribution) "No one in this world, so far as I know ... has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people." In other words, don't bet on the online coaching industry going away any time soon. As another great American (PT Barnum) said "There's a sucker born every minute".

All great points! I don't understand why people don't want to invest on how they can be better or expand their knowledge in their passion/business instead of turning to be a "coach". They are actually salespeople not coaches. And so much emphasis on making millions instead of focusing on how to really transform yourself and your customers. These people are actually desperate and it shows in their tactics. And a few years ago the pitch was 5 figures, then six figures now they are even saying 7 and 8 figures. When is it ever enough? Why can't they be happy making a comfortable living and having sone left over and actually enjoying life instead of the hustle and grind for more more more?
Thanks for your channel exposing these scam tactics in the coaching industry. With the economy the way it hs right now, people can't afford to waste thousands of dollars and then not be able to pay their rent. I think 2024 will be the start of the downfall in the coaching industry. They will have to change gears.
