In this interview Andy from @Finding_Finance shows how using ratios to value one asset against another can provide a clear picture of what is over/undervalued rather than merely measuring everything in currency - the value of which, as Brits have learned overnight, can change rapidly.
Using ratios, Andy shows where capital flows are likely to flow on a relative basis which can help us protect and grow our purchasing power over time even if those assets decline in nominal dollar terms.
IOW: using ratios helps us to see whether investments are truly gaining value over time by eliminating the illusory gains suggested by a decaying currency.
