In its final monetary policy meeting Dec. 18 the Federal Reserve suggested that it would only cut interest rates two times next year; In September’s updated economic projections, the Federal Reserve showed the potential for four rate cuts.

Celente’s forecasts also delve into real estate, emphasizing that despite higher interest rates, home prices have not dropped as many expected—largely due to supply-and-demand imbalances. Pending home sales continue to climb, bolstered by tight inventory. Still, Celente warns that these elevated prices could pose serious affordability issues for prospective buyers and create ongoing uncertainty for those considering major financial moves.
