What does S&P 500 look like without COVID?

I recently came across something interesting about how the trend of the S&P 500 looks if we take away the impact of COVID. In 2023, a lot of people are concerned about recession and the market going down. We will be taking a look at the trend of the S&P 500 if we exclude COVID. I use a template called the "investing accelerator template" to help visualize the charts, which is available in my community for free. When you exclude COVID, you can see a clear upward trend for the S&P 500. This trend is due to the market and GDP growing over the last 10 years.

As a long-term investor, now is a good time to buy discounted stocks, such as Google, Microsoft, and Apple. When the S&P 500 is near the red and blue lines on the template, it indicates a good opportunity to enter the market
Even if there is a market crash, as long as you bought at a discounted price, you will still be in the green in the long-term. The US economy is expected to continue growing in the future, despite the impact of COVID and high interest rates.
