Have been using the animator for 4 years and 3, 000+ hours and this is the first time i'm noticing Avatar masks. Didn't realize you can mask out separate body parts like that! So helpful!

Very underrated feature for animation. You can see with the animation packages being released in asset stores that even the publishers aren't segmenting animations that work well with and without layers.

Is there an equivalent of this for 2D animation? I have a 2D rig I’ve made from a skinning a .psb file and the animations are overriding each other

Fun fact: this is used in TF2 in combination with inverse kidimatics to make all the basic player animations
