Thank you! I have seen so many videos on how to combine animations, but this is the first one that explained how to get them to continue in the correct location instead of moving back to the start point.

After reading many of the comments about only one strip animating while the others freeze, my solution in the NLA is to open panel on the right, select "Strip" (not just "Extra") and make sure each armature is switched from Hold to Nothing.

Thank you for this tutorial. This trick of adjusting the curves in Graph editor at 7:20 is the best solution I found -in years- of connecting disparate mocap animations (which unlike neatly cleaned Mixamo animations will never start at origin, they will always be differently oriented etc)

For everyone not getting the multiple tracks to work, follow this: in order to get each track to play simultaneously no matter it's track position, you need to

1) Hop over to the "Active Strip" options (Press N, then go to the "Active Strip" area

2) In the "Extra" dropdown menu, select "Nothing"

3) In the "Blend" dropdown menu, select "Combine"

That's it! Just make sure to do this with each action strip and everything will work good.... Note: You have to select the Action Strip itself, not the Track

This way you can have multiple tracks, like shown in the video. Which actually will follow up after each other. In the standard settings only the top track works.

I had problems in playing animatioins as shown at 5:31. If you also have the same problem, switch from Hold to Nothing in the Extrapolation parameter you find in the Strip tab (if you don't see the tab, press N with the mouse in the NonLinear editor)

Hi this is Great, for locations. what is you wish to Turn the rotation (world) of the hIp bone. so the figure/ armature is turned another way.? Im not sure How to do this... so its only changes the direction and not all the animation of hip...?

This is great video. In order to put enabled and disabled keyframe one must hover on the eye icon. Other ways enabled and disabled options doesnt change. So this minor but very important detail can be highlighted. Thanks for video.

Thank you for this excellent precise, concise and complete work. Apart from the small problem solved by the commenters and the one encountered on the balloon object constraint keyframes which I solved using the "Influence" window and the associated Keyframe command.

great tutorial but having probs at 4.45 when adding new action strips i only get the rig animating as the two amiatures saved are not attached to the character like the first idle action strip is...what have i missed.. thanks in advance.

Great tutorial, you are awesome for sharing your knowledge and materials. I had the issue with the NLA strips not running for the IDLE and SAVE on my desktop until I followed your advice and switch the Extrapolation from Hold to Nothing and it worked fine. Oddly when I encountered the problem I switched from my desktop to my laptop and didn't have to change any settings and I made it through the whole tutorial with no issues. I'm going to walk through the process on my desktop again to see if everything works ok there. Thank you so much.

Hi brother, bro there is a problem one left time 5:20 seconds forward your animation is going down c up or play ho rehaan all animation (idle then saving then throw) but when i follow your same sequence mr i animations don't happen bas last (throw) only plays, but all other starting pod to animations don't play, but if i keep their sequence line wise tabs all plays easily. Please guide me
