Have you ever wondered what is the difference between functions and relations? Functions and relations share similarities but there is an important difference that you need to know about in order to understand functions and relations when studying in the functions 11 course!
Functions are special types of relationship that exist between two variables. In a function, every x value that goes into a function produces exactly one y value.
However, a relation behaves differently. A given x value could be mapped to any number of unique y values! Take note of this important difference! Many students get stuck on this and it leads to difficulty later on in Functions!
