Im just surprised because when the first episode came out I was so happy that they managed to portray the scenes just like in the manga. Keeping the same eerie feeling and paying attention to every detail and every single line. I loved to analyse the pages because of how much thought was put into these. Watching the first episode felt like reading the manga for the first time again. I’m a bit sad that the new episode feels a bit lifeless now.

I’ve heard that the second episode was made by a different studio and it goes back to the original studio for the last episode. Although I also heard this from Twitter so it could be wrong

I’m so glad I’m not the only person who noticed this, how tf did it fall off so suddenly?? Also the pacing in this was god awful too. The first episode had like 2 full stories with crumbs of other stories mixed in, while this one had like 3 or 4 full stories all mashed into one and then for some reason they just cram the lighthouse story in right at the last 5 minutes for no reason. It’s so disappointing 😭😭

Apparently the first director was let go after the first episode and they ended up outsourcing the rest to another studio. My disappointment is unmeasurable and my hopes for the rest of the adaptation are slim.
