(UPDATED) P320 MANUAL SAFETY CONVERSION TOOLKIT

preview_player
Показать описание
In this UPDATED video I introduce the MSAFE-T kit for the P320 (available now through WWW.SIGMECH.STORE and other retailers) and review the step-by-step methods I use in order to convert a previously non-manual safety P320 so that it can accept a factory manual safety lever assembly with the same specs found on the M17 or M18 models. Please note that although the MSAFE-T kit will work to convert ANY non-manual safety FCU, the grip cutting tool however is specifically made for the X-Series (and T-TEN) grip modules. (Standard grip template coming in 2024!).

I ordered this conversion kit a while back. I got around to using it on my P320 last week. The kit worked great. I followed the videos carefully, pausing and rewinding as needed. Everything went very well. I used some small files from Harbor Freight to smooth out the side of the cut that the safety lever detent rides on. Reassembly of the FCU went well.

I added a X carry grip and a X5 Legion flat trigger. After getting everything back together, my full size p320 feels great. I have owned and carried a several 1911s and this manual safety on my p320, feels to me like a safety on a 1911.

Unlike a 1911, the P320 safety can be on while loading and clearing the pistol. The safety locks the trigger but does not lock the slide. The safety can also be on during a "press check" to verify if a round is chambered. The manual safety also gives more peace of mind when holstering.

I highly recommend this kit for anyone needing to modify their FCU to allow an installation of a manual safety. This kit has very high quality components and fits tightly to the FCU to allow a proper and precise modification. This kit is a solid 5 out of 5 stars for both price and quality.

This kit is a great idea. I love the P320, I have two of them but they are both the manual safety version. The trigger on the on the P320, for all intents and purposes, is single-action-only and a manual safety is simply a requirement for safe carry (imho).

Thanks to your "video guidance" - without any trouble, on my P320 I have changed factory springs on ArmoryCraft kit.
On coming Sunday I'll be getting to a manual safety installation (based on your guidance again) using MSAFE-T kit, hope all will go "as planned" 🙂.
Have to thank - You and Sig Guy, you folks make our lives much easier!

I just like this for making grip swapping on the m models easier. I just freeballed the cuts on an x series grip for my m17 and it turned out alright but not perfect.

Very well done video! I just did this conversion on my P320 X-Carry with your kit and it was very straightforward to follow along.

First of your videos i gave watched, and love the content and how you present it. You have done an excellent gob sir. Love the 320. However like others carrying it I have some concerns about the lack of safety on it ie…. Trigger, thumb, grip, double action like others. These have a low single action trigger pull. I carry properly and safely with hours of training. I think some type of manual safety on a carry gun is just responsible. As for a range only Queen. I safety outside of pulling the trigger is just fine.

Absolutely phenomenal instruction video. I bought your kit, followed your well laid out instructions and it worked great. Just FYI, I used it on a Wilson Combat grip module and it fit perfectly.

Looks like a great kit. Nice work and excellent video to walk through the process. What ever happened to your dry fire training tool?

It would be awesome if you'd consider doing a video on the whys and how's an aftermarket recoil spring effects function and felt recoil.

You should make a jig for the cutout on the opposite side for the mup

Very nice and well done video.
Just one question. Does this work with the legion as well because of the tungsten infusion grip? Maybe I missed that information in your video.
Thank you so much.

I want to use your kit on my new AXG Carry. I've read through the comments and learned that it
CAN be done but I have a question. Does your grip cutting module work on the AXG, because a) you
state that the aluminum is thinner that the polymer, and in some replies you state the grips must be
cut by hand. Is that just the side grips or is that the aluminum grip frame? Any hints for my AXG?
Thank you kindly.
