Just so you all know, it takes 8-9 months for a full garlic bulb to grow from a piece like that amd even longer from a seed. Worth the wait if you plant a lot, but I i had no idea it took that long 😂 I have 6 growing currently for the first time and let me tell you, they grow very fast if you have good soil.

Before planting cut the top most part carefully and don't chop the whole thing but try to save the little leaf inside. Your technique is correct but if you follow the technique i mention it will give you bigger yield...tips from knowledge passed down by farmer ancestors.
