Shrimp is the perfect seafood to pair with a steak for a great surf and turf meal. This recipe is easy to follow, simple to make, and results will leave you very satisfied.

SURF N TURF INGREDIENTS:
►1 lb Filet mignon (2 steaks, each 1 1/2” thick)
►12 oz large shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail-on (21-25 count)
►1 1/4 tsp fine sea salt, divided, or to taste
►3/4 tsp black pepper, divided, or to taste
►1/2 Tbsp vegetable oil or any high heat cooking oil
►3 Tbsp unsalted butter
►2 garlic cloves, peeled and quartered
►1 sprig rosemary

Natasha, you can't go wrong with filet mignon anytime. I don't generally just pan fry my filets ( I pan sear them 1 to 2 min. and then put them in the oven for exactly 7 minutes at 425 degrees for medium rare ) but your method does save time. The new potatoes are a winner. Can't wait to try this meal. As always... Well Done Natasha!

I made the steak & shrimp this past weekend. I have to tell you that this was the best steak I have ever made. I used a ribeye steak. The shrimp was just as good. I didn't even need A1 sauce. Tom Gasper Strongsville, Ohio

Appears sharky wanted some surf n turf too when pulled from the stove. You're lucky you had some left.

I have the same thermometer. Some can argue it's expensive but it's an instant read within a second, highly calibrated, and certified to a half degree (a certificate is provided). Takes the stress out of knowing the exact temperature of your protein. Use the link provided to support the channel.

I love cooking. I'm not a fancy chef, but i enjoy trying out new recipes and feeding the family.

I told my wife that for Mothers Day and our anniversary (which we are celebrating this weekend), to name anything she wanted me to cook and this is what she picked.

Can't wait to try this. Looks amazing. I do the same thing with ribeyes on my grill. I add some hickory chunks to the coals. But I soak the chunks in Jack Daniel's. Gives it a little smoky flavor
