In modern military operations, the seas are a realm of both challenge and opportunity. From the vast expanse of open oceans to the intricate networks of coastal waterways, maritime environments offer a unique theatre for special operations. Among the elite forces that navigate these waters with precision and expertise are the Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crewmen or SWCC, an unsung yet integral component of the United States Navy's Special Warfare community.

These guys have. 50 caliber M2 Machine Guns. They are devastating and I guarantee you that they are accurate in firing. I wouldn't want to be the enemy challenging them.

I had the honor of knowing Kelly Webb, who was instrumental in the creation of the Special Warfare Boats school.
He was retired, and working for Brunswick/Whaler in Edgewater when I knew him.
Chief Webb was a man of some consequence and a great guy.
I treasure memories of sitting with him having drinks at the Riverview in NSB
He was taken too soon. RIP Chief.

After seeing them in an awesome scene in the movie Act of Valor, I did some research. Definite a badass crew that needs more recognition!

My service in the Navy (HM3/1964-1968) was unremarkable, much respect to these warriors.

If it wasn't for people like this, I wouldn't have the freedom to watch these videos with my feet on the table, eating chocolate covered pretzels and drinking hot coco like I am right NOW!!!
