I feel like luffy is the only person who can really utilize the nika fruit because he’s really young and quite imaginative. If someone like shanks were to eat it, it would be unique but not as amazing as luffy’s. There's one thing I really don't understand is how Co. Haki became a thing that you are born with. My solid guess is that Co. Haki is manifested during the child state not in birth state. Co. Haki is the manifestation of Freedom and Will. So when a child wants those two things he unlocks Co. Haki.

My guess is that joyboy isn’t a title or person, joyboy is the will of the Nika fruit that materializes allowing it to take over the eater becoming the sun god nika utilizing the full potential of the fruit, hence him being able to predict his revival. Also I don't think imu never killed joyboy. Joyboy probably sacrificed himself to protect someone or a group of people or a clan maybe? knowing someone would definitely inherit his will and finish off the war he couldn't win.
