I wasn't quite sure about the "getting back in combat shape" training montage, but the minigun on top of a train scene made up for it. A solid movie that deserves more than a Netflix release.

I liked this even more than the first one. The whole train scene is really awesome. I also liked the attention to detail: some of the Georgian paramilitaries had Rusian AKs with modern Zenitco upgrades that a gun guy would know about and use. Finally, I liked how no-nonsense and rational the script is: at the end, during the airfield scene, Rake goes in with the grenade launcher and takes the plane and then all the other vehicles off the board, so they can't escape no matter what. Most movies have way more dumb and irreational characters that somehow seem to make anything but what is clearly the reasonable choice.

YES! Nik fight scene is amazing. Many many female actions scene in other movies just throwing physics and weight difference out the window but in this movie we can see her struggling with that and how her fighting more technical.

Amazing, no-nonsense action movie, that 21-minute "One-Shot" sequence was just insane.
They released a short behind the scenes video, where they show some of the stunts, check it out it´s some crazy stuff, among other things, they landed a real helicopter on a moving train, set Hemsworth & 5 stuntmen on fire, director Hargraves was strapped with a camera on the train and what not.
Hemsworth is great as an action hero protagonist and so was his mercenary lady colleague.
Golshifteh Farahani is her name, she´s an Iranian actress and yes, I had to look up how to spell her name.😆
Now that Hemsworth is apparently done with the M-She-U, I would love to see him in more projects like this.
Director Sam Hargrave confirmed that they´re already working on a sequel.

Watched it last night. It was awesome. I think it's kinda better than the 1st simply because of the extraction-train sequence. I thought the end was bit weak because of all the previous action but you really can't go wrong if you love action movies. The cast is also brilliant. Hemsworth, Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa. Not only they make Hemsworth look great but work excellent as a pair. Farahani does a good enough job to convince the audience she's capable of throwing down with the big boys.

Bit of warning. While this is certainly bit of John Wick(esque) it differs in a very major way. While John Wick is about action with style and has this cloak of the secret underworld this is about open and brutal warfare.

I didn’t expect much as a sequel but I was happily surprised. I just watched it. No Woke crap. The woman character was done right. The actress was amazing and it was all done without making it about identity politics. Great story, action and acting.

I’m excited to see what Sam Hargrove has got in stock. Extraction 3 is in the works and it’s got me wondering if he has plans to make new franchises.

This second instalment was just epic .... Hemsworth was just as good here as first and it was great seeing old school action intensity with some amazing visual sequences. I didnt notice any CGI issues as most where full on practical scenes but if they where wonky it didnt pull you out as they where not play acting on a big green screen.
Not seeing Hemsworth being lost, fat or finding himself and just running and gunning was just bloody awesome. Rhis is his time to be that likable action hero whos flawed and maybe not all that ok mentally but that just makes you like the character more. The female lees is GREAT AND BELIEVABLE and the supporting cast is solid and although we may not have adeep development with them they add to the story and are just not a token addition.
If you like a great action hero and lots of guns and explosions in a great visual adventure its for you .... If you wear tight jeans and drink soy and want some deep cultural comment .... Just stay away.
The possibility of more is great and the fact the story is just doing one relatively small story and NOT saving the world or all the universes is just refreshing. You don't need to save all the galaxy to have a riveting action tale!
The tacticool gear and stunts and fights are brilliant and tou don't get pulled out of the moment with some witty quip .... This is serious action you can get teeth into.
Go and watch it and re-watch the first as well !!

The first one was awesome in it's own right. The actor who played the boy, Ovi was excellent, and gave the story quite a bit of heart that you wouldn't necessarily expect from an action movie. I'm really glad the sequel is as good if not better. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm about to after watching this review.

Marvel take note this is how Hemsworth should be in a Thor movie, gritty action and fights that carry weight.
The first movie was great looking forward to watching the second one.

Actually I was surprised by Hemsworth fitting well into such franchises. Many may not remember about the Black Hat by director of Heat. Which kept the nostalgia of that movie yet updating to more modern warfare. Loved the first one. Looking forward to this one.

The train sequence was astonishingly good but my jaw was hanging wide open when they were fighting on the glass roof of the skyscraper in Austria. An utterly amazing sequence.
