Im autistic and everybody would rather yell at me than help me...like my neurodivergency is such a bother to them. Because of my speech apraxia, i find it hard to communicate certain things and everybody calls me "dumb, " "stupid, " and, my personal favorite, "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

I have a Masters Degree in Social Work and I got almost all As. Im no dummy. Thank you for educating the public. ❤️

I’ve just been diagnosed at age 73!! I’ve struggled all my life with mental health issues. Yes!! How would I know any different!? And now, I’m looking back at my entire life through completely different eyes. It’s amazing, unbelievable and such a relief to know I’m not weird.

My name is Werner Nell Strydom. I live in Melkbostrand, South Africa. I am 43 years old and have displayed all of the described signs for as long as I can remember. I have no social life and am cut of from the world. I have been told that I have no emotional intelligence and cannot read a room or people. I was told that I am arrogant and selfish. Perhaps I am and I deeply regret that. I can no longer interact with people on a face to face basis. Thank you for shedding light on what may possibly be manifesting within me.

It's funny, but I never considered myself being autistic until my child told me he thought I was because he is as well and recognizes the symptoms. I think he may be right.

YES, I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND your Disneyworld reference. I am the same way, if I only prepare to do one thing, and then it turns out I am supposed to do another thing instead, no matter how positive or negative the new task is, I have a whole anxiety attack because I only planned emotionally and mentally for the first one 🙏🏾 Thank you for putting that into words 🫶🏾

I was diagnosed as an adult in September 2020. It made my life make so much more sense!!!

*THANK YOU for a very CONCISE, METHODICAL, BULLET POINT* presentation of the facts. So many channels are unfortunately monotone, "stream of consciousness" and not organized, which badly triggers my ADHD. My mind goes down the rabbit hole and I can't stay focused. This was excellent and very helpful. Thank you! 😊

Saw a specialist at age 7 who said i only had ADHD, then at 17 got diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. A federal psychiatrist even confirmed Autism and ADHD

My daughter just got diagnosed last December - ASD ( she was 2yrs 9 months)

Hearing that me or my wife could be autistic too - will actually make me more happier. I just know that she could make it too like live a normal life, have a regular job like me and my wife and could live by herself when we are gone.

My 3 year old grand daughter is being tested now for autism. We really believe my daughter in law has it and was just not diagnosed as a child. She had several struggles like talking late learning at slower pace. From your channel I was able to bring the issues up about my granddaughter a few years ago because of what I was learning from your channel so thank you.

Love your personality 🤩 as a fellow late diagnosed autistic but had all the traits you described growing up and now at age 38 going on 39 i felt joy when i was diagnosed and thought yep makes since . You are describing me to a tee😊 and i scratch my neck when i talk like you just did. Its amazing how we as autistic do so many things alike and think a lot alike people made me feel like I was weird but being among others like me and my husband whose autistic also. We feel right at home 😁 thank you for sharing this 🙏🏼 you're awesome 😎 peace and blessings 💙

I remember watching you many years ago when you gave birth to your second daughter. Haven't watched you since then (I had to leave Youtube for a while) until now. I've thought of you and for family a lot but could not for the life of me remember your channel's name. So glad I found you again. I watched you before I got my own diagnosis of ASD back in 2018 (I was 29 when it was finally confirmed by a neuropsychologist). I didn't realize that you were also on the spectrum, but I guess you were diagnosed later in life like me. I'm glad that you've finally gotten your diagnosis and I pray that God blesses you with new knowledge of who you are and how He created you. ASD is a struggle, but it also has its blessings (or at least I feel it does).

I was diagnosed at 30, also in 2020, but I had been suspecting I was on the spectrum around ten years before. I told my psychiatrist back then, but she told me that I wasn't autistic, that those people were severely affected. The same professional diagnosed me and told me she was sorry for not having diagnosed me earlier. A diagnosis has allowed me to understand past experiences, and myself, of course, and it has given me access to an autism association where I get the help I need.

Yes! More videos please! I've been in denial and know I probably have ADHD, but when you said something in an older video about hating showers I was like...that's me!

In my country getting my son's ADHD diagnosis was so so so hard! And adults won't be tested or even believed if they are in the spectrum. We fight every school and every teacher to adjust his curriculum 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I know it's not the same but so happy you could get tested as an adult and get the answers you needed. I think my son takes on me but I'll never know 😢

I have often wondered if I am autistic. My therapist and I haven't talked deeply about the subject but your video has given me the courage to.

Yes, please do more vlogs like this one. It’s so totally beyond helpful to have someone explain myself and my childhood/adulthood to me. Now, since discovering videos about autism and being able to watch them, I’m understanding myself and my life so much more than ever before. I’m amazed at how so many things are making sense now that I could never fully understand about myself and my life before the videos. In a very weird way, you are helping me immensely to feel so much more “normal” than I ever have before. Thank you so much for sharing these things and helping me and others like us gain some clarity and get a better handle on our lives.
