Welcome back to Anderson's SmokeShow! Today we are smoking beer can chickens! Seasoned and smoked to perfection using my Pit Boss 5 Series Vertical Pellet Smoker! The results were fall off the bone tender and juicy beyond belief!

Pellet of Choice: Pit Boss Classic Blend (Pecan, Hickory, and Mesquite)

I started off by trimming the necks and tails off the chickens. Rinsed and dried. Used avocado oil as a base and applied Uncle Steve's Shake Gator Shake on one chicken and Sucklebusters Clucker Dust on the other! This beer can chicken recipe is great!!

Smoked these at 225F for 1 hour, then increased the temperature to 275F until the internal temp in the breast over 165F.

These beer in the butt chickens were so tender that they were falling apart! This smoked chicken was so juicy as you can see in the 4K video! Absolute PERFECTION!

I do mine a bit different. I brine my chicken for a couple of days. Get my grill Goin with charcoal and add strips of hickory to my charcoal charcoal and when it gets to flaming up good I've got my chicken on the grill and I shut the lid down and shut all vents and at 400 degrees let it cook until temp gets down to 300 and below and keep it there for 2 1/2 hours. Most beautiful chicken you'll ever see and delicious. I rub mine down with olive oil and kosher salt. You don't need any of seasoning. I spray mine with a mixing of lime juice salt and vinegar about every 30 minutes .been doing this for 40 years. You can't beat it. You're doing a great job. I think I've got you beat though. Thanks brother!

“Look, their friends” had me rolling. I’m trying this for the first time but I’ll subscribe just for the comedic value if nothing else. Great job!

This is my favorite way to cook whole chicken. Yours looked delicious, moist, and with good color. Over the years I've cooked a lot of chickens... but that potato cork is brilliant! Nicely done. 👍
