Recently visited Germany and several other of the surrounding countries and every beer there had foam, it’s completely normal and good for the beer to have foam. In the Czech Republic they quite literally fill half of the glass of certain beers just with foam because it’s the style in which you drink it.

In Czechia, beer glasses are made with a line that shows how much foam should be there. Slso foam is supposed to be in every beer because if there isn't, the beer will oxidize and taste bad.

It's not because Czechs are poor but because we have good beer and we want it to remain good. You can order beer wihout foam or even only foam if you want. It's up to you. Also some of y'all are very toxic but majority of comments is nice so that's good 👍☺️

Many Americans in European bars are complaining about the amount of beer isn't what they paid for. Little surprise, all the beer you paid for is in the glass, there is just extra glass to hold the crown. That foam is showing you the beer is fresh and the glass is clean.
