We recently bought a similar harness to do our dog’s nails. Tranquilizers didn’t work. Our groomer who specialized in schnauzers for 50 years couldn’t do it. Our vet couldn’t even trim his nails. They said he would have to be completely sedated. The first time we put him in the harness was the first time in over year since we were able to get his nails clipped. After thrashing for a minute he finally gave up and hung there. Got his nails done quickly and removed the harness. Nothing terrifying. He didn’t shake in fear. We’ve now used it three times and we’re getting close to having his nails at a good length. The harness has made nail clipping so much better.

Grooming hammocks are a God send. My dog hates her nails being clipped due to a bad experience (somebody took off a tad too much). So it literally takes a team to groom this chihuahua mix.

The hammock acts as a restraint. She still has a look of betrayal and won't talk to me for a few hours afterwards.

That harness was great for my handicapped dog too but not all groomers had them. Very useful for a safer experience. 😊
